RUDY PROJECT NZ WARRANTY

The Rudy Project sunglasses and helmets have a legal guarantee for TWO (2) years from the date of purchase against defects in product conformity.

To use the legal warranty, the product must be purchased by Rudy Project New Zealand, or an authorized reseller in New Zealand only, and you must submit a receipt of a completed proof of purchase with your purchase date together with the legal warranty receipt (email or print) at the time of purchase.

The legal warranty does not cover damages or defects resulting from improper use, neglect, lack of reasonable care, accidents, use of non-compliant technical documentation provided by Rudy Project, use of non-original spare parts, use of non-original lenses Rudy Project, damage to products due to incorrect unpacking, loss of product, inadequate repairs. Damage resulting from normal wear is not covered by the warranty.

Lenses and frames with scratches and incomplete products are excluded from the legal warranty.

REASONS FOR NO WARRANTY

 

1: Impactx lenses are NOT scratch proof and Rudy Project will not warrant any lenses with scratches. Rudy Project offer the RLG programme HERE.

2: Silicon nose pads over time will wear out and will NOT be replaced under warranty. Order replacement nose pads from HERE.

3: I was “just putting my frames on my head and my frame broke” will not be warranted as Rudy Project frames do not break. 99.9% of the time the frame is mistreated, stepped on, run over, or in a crash.

4: Suntan cream, oils, sweat, salts can affect any sunglass brand in the world. If your lens has been affected by these, Rudy Project will NOT treat this as a warranty. You can opt for the replacement lens programme here
This is normal wear and tear and you can order replacement nose pads HERE.

5: Corrosion to aluminum temple arms and logos is not a warranty. This is caused by heavy sweating or use in open seawater and NOT cleaned with plain fresh water after use.

6: Purchase of the Rudy Project product was made outside of New Zealand or from one of the following online retailers:

TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

 

If you purchased via https://rudyproject.co.nz then provide your contact info and a description of what happened to your Rudy Project frame, Lens or Goggle in the Warranty Request page.

If you purchased the product at an approved Rudy Project New Zealand re-seller, then please contact them to process the warranty claim

All returns that do not have all the necessary information on the form completed will be delayed up to two weeks and may be returned back to you without notice.

The return of the product via post or courier is paid by the consumer/user.

Rudy Project New Zealand will not be liable for packages going missing. Ensure you track your parcel.

If your frame or lens IS found to be defective it will be replaced with the same one or to a similar frame or upgraded.

If your frame is NOT defective, we’ll call you with the options available to you at that time. Please make sure your phone number is an accurate DAY TIME number that can be used to reach you during normal business hours or this will result in an extended delay in processing your return. In most cases we can replace parts or change over to a replacement model at a discounted cost depending on the model you have.

Rudy Project styles and models constantly change over the years. We generally keep parts for over a year from the models discontinued date but after that we cannot help in replacement spare parts or lenses but will do everything to help you keep in Rudy Project.

HELMET CRASH REPLACEMENT PROGRAM

 

Every single Rudy Project helmet bought at https://rudyproject.co.nz covered by a Crash Replacement Guarantee for up to 3 years, as well as up to 3 years against manufacturer defects and workmanship.

3 Year Crash Replacement Guarantee:

Athletes who take a spill in their Rudy Project helmet up to three (3) years after date of purchase from the Rudy Project New Zealand website (https://rudyproject.co.nz) will be offered 50% off a replacement helmet.

Any relevant taxes/postage/shipping will be still be pay by the consumer.

Replacement discount is only valid on https://rudyproject.co.nz toward current catalog items, and will be awarded at our option.
