Below are the list of events that Rudy Project New Zealand are partnered with, please look out for us at the Rudy Project booth at any of the selected events.
Saturday 9th May 2020
Christchurch
South Island Ultra Marathon
This is a fast trail and gives you the opportunity to do a very fast 100km, potential sub 10 hours.
This trail has been described by many as the Most Scenic Mountain Bike Ride in New Zealand. Now you have the chance to run it!
3 events are all being held on the amazing West Coast Wilderness Trail where runners will experience Lakes, Reservoirs, Rivers, Streams, Water Races, Swing bridges, Bridges from Historic Tram Lines, A Western Town, Forestry, Wetlands, Board Walks Mountains and the Sea just to name a few things.
This run is limited to 1,000 participants on the day, and will cater for the beginner through to the Elite Ultra Athlete looking to do their fastest time.
The Trail is a Grade 2 Mountain Bike Ride and does give some good uphill climbs, with the finish a good downhill to the seafront finish in Hokitika.
3 Fantastic Runs on the West Coast Wilderness Trail, the 100km and 54km can be done as a Team of 2 or Individual.
The 24km is an individual solo event.
These Ultra Marathons give everyone the chance to experience some great racing in the beauty of the West Coast of New Zealand, whether you’re a first timer or an elite athlete, the challenge is here for you.
This is a fast trail and gives you the opportunity to do a very fast 100km, potential sub 10 hours. Individual record 10 hours 15 minutes 16 seconds for the 100km (George Henderson) and 4 hours 52 minutes 56 seconds for the 54km (Angela Campbell)
All 3 events finish on the Beach Front of Hokitika.

Short Course – 2.5km Run/Walk : 14km Bike : 1.25km Run/Walk

Long Course – 5km Run : 28km Bike : 2.5km Run
The distances are Run/walk on a mix of surfaces, grass and seal.
This is a great spectator course for husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend or any other friend to come along and watch.

Bridge to Bridge – North
If you want to go hard and fast or enjoy the scenery and power of the river, then this bike ride is for you.
These events cater for everyone, first time riders to elite riders. It will test everyone.
You can race your mate or race your dad or mum, the bragging rights will be yours at the end.
These amazing races are all down hill.
The rides will cater for everyone, youngsters 7 and upwards for the shorter ride and 13+ for the longer races.
Plus the rides let everyone with a competitive instinct of old, to have another crack, the Clydesdales for men 100kg plus and Clydesdalesses for ladies 75kg plus and a category for Cancer Survivors.
This lets everyone with a competitive streak have a crack.
The ride will see you tested by tracks that will be heavy in shingle, four wheel drive tracks, forestry, sand, some water, single track and stop bank riding.
You will take in the magic and the power of the mighty Waimakariri River.
You will at times be riding right beside the river and then be on the stop bank viewing the river, dairy farms, bare land and an aerodrome as you ride toward the finish.

Lake Hood, Ashburton
South Island Half Marathon
Held in the beautiful Lake Hood, will see athletes taking in amazing water views throughout the run
South Island Half Marathon will cater for all runners; whether you’re a beginner or an elite runner, this fast-flat course will give you the opportunity to do one of the fastest half’s you’ve ever done.
There will be a walking section in both the ½ and 1/6 marathon, plus the introduction of a Hybrid in the 1/2 marathon this year “This allows you to run a bit and walk a bit”.
With the Kidz Dash being a 1.5km run, this giving them a flavour of the experience of running at the lake and subdivision.

Krank It – Winter Race
Krank It is a Children's and Women's Mountain Bike Race.
Children and Female’s will race Individually in their age category based on their age on the day of the event, or in a Team of 2 doing 1 lap each in a relay format.
Those mothers wanting to race with their children can participate in the Mums & Sons or Mums & Daughters race.
These 2 events will be in a Relay format with the Mums doing the first lap, so the children have the glory of the Finish Line.

Auckland
North Shore Marathon
This spectacular event showcases Auckland’s best views over the city and out into the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island.
The North Shore Marathon, Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5km Fun Run & Walk, and Kids Marathon will take place on Auckland’s beautiful North Shore and is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s most Scenic Marathon and Half Marathon events.
The course is based on a 21.1km circuit that will see participants starting at Milford Reserve before taking in the beautiful Takapuna, Narrow Neck, and Cheltenham Beaches before tackling the amazing 1km Tunnels Loop (you don’t actually go through any tunnels) around Maungauika/Historic North Head.
This spectacular part of the course has been the showcase of the event since 2011 with Auckland’s best views over the city and out into the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island. Maungauika/North Head Historic Reserve is Treaty of Waitangi redress land of Nga Mana Whenua o Tamaki Makaurau, being the 13 iwi/hapū of Tāmaki Makaurau.
There course features a mixture of road, beach, and grass trails, so there is a bit of something for everyone.

Muddy Good Run – Rangiora
Welcome to the Biggest, Baddest, Most Epic obstacle course event in New Zealand.
Muddy Good Run challenges people to step outside their comfort zone while stretching both their physical and mental limits.
There will be building mud pits, slippery slides, mud and water slides, cars to climb over, cars to crawl under, containers to scale, hay bales to get over, camo net crawls, cargo net climbs and a run and crawl in between.

Devonport Half Marathon
This is your chance to run or walk among heritage streets, past fabulous beaches and enjoy the stunning views to be had in Auckland’s most beautiful suburb!
Race HQ is Windsor Reserve, right in the heart of Devonport Village and looking straight across the Waitemata Harbour towards the Auckland city skyline.
The Devonport ferry terminal is a stone’s throw away and Devonport’s many cafes and eateries are right across the road from the finish line.
Event distances go from the superb Half Marathon all the way down to a 2km kids’ dash, so there’s an option to suit everyone and no-one gets left out.
All courses embark on a scenic, tour of this wonderful peninsula.

The Corporate Challenge takes place on three Wednesday November evenings in the most beautiful parks and venues that New Zealand’s premier cities have to offer.
The series kicks off amongst the lush greenery of Hagley Park, Christchurch, where participants can run on flat, wide footpaths past Victoria Lake and along the banks of the Avon River.
Next stop is the stunning Wellington waterfront where the event is based at Waitangi Park and follows a waterfront course along Oriental Parade and back past Te Papa.
The final event is in the historic Auckland Domain, right in front of the Main Grandstand and featuring a two-lap course on fully closed roads with the Auckland Museum as a backdrop.

Ride the Wilderness
Ride the Wilderness is a Mountain Bike Ride on the West Coast Wilderness Trail - with 4 event options
This event gives riders the opportunity to see the West Coast beauty and in 2020 it will give you, all it has to offer while racing the fantastic West Coast Wilderness Trail.
This is a Grade 2 ride and has everything from lakes, rivers, creeks, board walks, single tracks, historic bridges, forestry, wetlands, reservoirs, water races you name it – it’s all here, it is truly an awesome ride and a great opportunity to race it.
Ride the Wilderness will have four magnificent events all in one day:
Ross to Greymouth: 126km
Hokitika to Greymouth: 95km
Cowboy Paradise to Greymouth: 59km
Kumara to Greymouth: 21km

Colour Zone Run
The Colour Zone run will be the most colourful event you’ll ever see and be in!
We are bringing real colour back to what’s been called the Residential Red Zone, we will have more colour than red, with all the colours from the rainbow plus some extras.
There will be colour throughout the 5km run/walk/crawl, colour colour, colour.
You will be blasted with colour from all angles with the opportunity to roll through colour or just get your mate or mates covered in colour. When we say blasted – we mean blasted – it will come at you from every angle throughout the course.

Canterbury Half Marathon
This run will see athletes experience amazing water views, walkways and stunning homes in this amazing town.
Canterbury Half Marathon will cater for all runners; whether you’re a beginner or an elite runner, this fast-flat course will give you the opportunity to do one of the fastest half’s you’ve ever done.
There will be a Walking section in both the half marathon and 9km, and a Hybrid in the half marathon. “This allows you to run a bit and walk a bit”.
With the Kidz Dash being a 3km run, this giving them a flavour of the experience of running in a big event.
Their run will be around the lake.

Omaha Beach
Omaha Half Marathon
If the three things you are looking for in your next running or walking event are “flat”, “fast” and “stunningly beautiful” – then you’ve come to the right place!
Magical Omaha, less than an hour – and about a million miles – away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland City plays a most gracious host to the Omaha Half Marathon.
The event is based in Rahui Te Kiri Reserve in southern (or “new”) Omaha, surrounded by multi-million dollar beach pads and billion dollar views.
All events start on Omaha’s pristine and peaceful suburban roads and finish with a winding run through the reserve with cheering spectators hanging over the fences Tour de France style!
The half marathon course is acclaimed as one of the most beautiful – and fast – you will find anywhere.
It features a full circumnavigation of the Omaha Peninsula, including 2km on the hard packed white sands of Omaha beach. Added to this is an out-and-back over the causeway and around the coastal reserve at historic Point Wells.
Throughout, you are treated to wide sea views and the water is never more than a stone’s throw away. Both the 5k and 10k runs follow the route around the peninsula, with the 5k turning around near the surf club whilst the 10k continues right up to the bird sanctuary at the northern tip.
Driving to the event on race morning is easy, but why not make a weekend of it? Omaha is replete with holiday home rentals suitable for all budgets, from Russian oligarch down to those of more modest means.
Take on the challenge of the Omaha Half Marathon, then settle onto the deck of your rental for a BBQ and a well-earned glass of wine!
The perfect escape from the pre-Christmas madness, a fun and fitness filled day or weekend awaits at Omaha this year. C’ya there!

Wine Run
What you’ve always dreamed of in a Run......Exercise, Fancy Dress, Wine followed by a Party and Live Entertainment.
Lone Goat Vineyard is going to make the run/walk more enjoyable for you with a wine tasting approximately every kilometer.
You will have the option of registering for 5km or 10km “that is one lap or two” recommendation is the 10km, then you’ll get to taste that favorite wine a second time.
Plus, we’ll give you two and half hours to do the 10km.
When you finish there will be a memorabilia wine glass waiting for you. Then food and live entertainment.
Plus to get you home safely, your entry fee can include a bus to Lone Goat Vineyard and back. Or else you arrange your own transport.
Remember to keep an eye out for Zoe “Zoe’s the goat of course” watch those horns though.

The Famous Grouse Bays Cycle Challenge
The Famous Grouse Bays Cycle Challenge brings back racing around the Bays in Lyttleton Harbour.
This year will see the race go over Evans Pass, through Lyttleton, Governors Bay, Charteris Bay, Diamond Harbour to Purau and then return to Teddington, where riders will go over Gebbies Pass through to Tai Tapu and then Finish outside the Famous Grouse Hotel in Lincoln.
This 78km race will see some awesome racing and some great challenging hills throughout the race, taking in all the Bays of Lyttleton.
With King and Queen of the Pass at Evans Pass will make it interesting from the start.
